A School of Business student appreciation and scholarship-awareness event, held for a week in June on the main Redlands campus, provided students with “hot dog and bulldog” giveaways.
“This event was an opportunity to thank our students for their dedication,” said Liz Villegas, School of Business Redlands campus director, “and to provide them with information about exclusive scholarships available to our students and alumni for our Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (M.S.O.L.) programs.”
From June 24 to 27, the School of Business treated students with meals from JoJo’s Grill-a-Dog, a local restaurant venture founded by University of Redlands alumnus Ryan Molnar ’15. A total of 245 meals were served to students and faculty members.
After chowing down on JoJo’s, many participants stopped by a table to pick up complimentary Redlands goodies, such as squishy bulldog-shaped stress balls, and to find out more about scholarships.
Students learned that scholarships are awarded to Redlands alumni automatically upon admission to the Redlands School of Business MBA or M.S.O.L. programs. The MBA Alumni Scholarship provides $25,000 toward tuition, and the M.S.O.L. Alumni Scholarship ranges from $15,000 to $17,000. Many undergraduate students expressed interest in furthering their post-graduate education due to this opportunity.
School of Business programs, which are geared to the needs of working professionals and provide 21st century business skills, are offered on eight U of R campuses throughout California and online.
