Allison Fraiberg
Travel from the Austrian Alps to the Adriatic as we explore how imagination, entrepreneurship, and innovation are shaping more sustainable business futures. Our classroom will be the landscapes and communities of Austria and Italy, where we will examine sustainability through economic, social, and environmental lenses. From Salzburg and the Austrian countryside, we cross the Alps to Udine, cultural capital of Friuli Venezia Giulia, and continue to Trieste, where Italian, Austrian, and Balkan cultures converge. Along the way, we’ll go behind the scenes at an eco-farm, biodynamic wine and olive oil estate, family dairy farm, coffee roaster, and other innovative organizations. Through 8–10 organizational visits and conversations with business leaders, we’ll analyze sustainability practices in food, wine, the arts, hospitality, and beyond.
