Subject: Health Alert, Coronavirus
Today, a student was evaluated at our Redlands campus Student Health Center by a member of our staff. Following consultation with the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health and in accordance with the County’s advice, we transported the student to the hospital for evaluation for COVID-19. Out of an abundance of caution and on the advice of the County, the student’s roommates are self-isolating in their residence. The student who is being evaluated will also self-isolate until deemed no longer at risk for having the virus.
To be clear, there are currently no confirmed cases of COVID-19 on any of our campuses, nor in any of our study away programs. At this time, our campuses remain open. The safety of our students, faculty, and staff remains our highest priority, and we continue to work closely with the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health. We will provide more information as soon as it becomes available.
