To: Faculty, Staff, and Administrators
From: Office of Facilities Management
Subject: Redlands campus operations support during COVID-19 campus adaptation

The intent of this plan is to support active functions on campus and address any emergency needs during the adaptation period.

Building Maintenance and Custodial Services

On Tuesday, March 24, and Wednesday, March 25, the custodial team will visit all administrative and academic spaces on campus to remove trash and also to ensure that spaces are in appropriate condition for an extended absence period. Additionally, the custodial and maintenance teams will be preparing dormitories for closure and readying rooms for the students that will remain on campus.

On Tuesdays and Fridays beginning the week of March 30, the custodial team will service only those areas on campus that are occupied. Please submit work requests as normal as we will be monitoring the work order system.

For any facilities emergencies, please contact Public Safety at 909-748-8888. Facilities Management staff will remain on call for emergency situations that may arise.

Warehouse Deliveries & Pick Ups

Beginning the week of March 23, warehouse receiving services will operate on a reduced schedule. Package deliveries from FedEx, UPS, etc. will be accepted from 10 a.m. to noon daily. The campus community may retrieve their packages on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon at our warehouse receiving door located on the east side of the Facilities Management building, near the loading dock along Grove Street.

Additionally, to combat panic buying, Facilities Management purchased 960 rolls of toilet paper at our cost that we will make available to the campus community. Individual toilet paper rolls can be purchased for 60¢ each at the warehouse on Tuesdays and Thursdays during our package pickup hours. We will accept cash (exact change only) or checks made out to the University of Redlands. The toilet paper will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, limited to ten rolls per person.

Attached is an overview of the anticipated service schedule. This schedule is subject to change.

For any non-emergency concerns or questions, please e-mail the Facilities Management office at
