Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Can I register for a single day of the conference?
You may register to attend the conference for Thursday, June 20 only OR you may register to attend the entire conference (4 days). The full conference plan is for 4 nights (Wednesday-Saturday). The pre-conference options are Monday and Tuesday OR just Tuesday. There is no option to pro-rate nights in the housing/meal plan.
  2. I want to register, but I am leaving early. Can I avoid paying for the last day?
If you stay on campus, you are paying for a conference package that includes 4 nights in the dorm. There is no option to pro-rate specific nights. If you do not want to pay for the extra night, please consider staying in one of the off campus hotels. Keep in mind that the nightly rate for the dorm is $42 and the local hotels range for $90-$129 per night.
  3. I only want to pay for specific meals and I do not want the full meal plan. How do I do that?
You cannot do that. The regular conference meal includes meals from Wednesday dinner through Sunday lunch. There is no-option to pro-rate certain meals.
  4. Why is Saturday dinner missing from the conference meal plan?
We are planning a catered Banquet for Saturday evening. You select the banquet meal choice and then pay for it during the conference registration.

We understand concerns with food allergies and though the university will do their best to accommodate your needs, we cannot guarantee that all food will be safe. If you are concerned, we would suggest when you register for housing, do not select the meal plan option.
  6. What’s the cooking situation like for the apartments?
The apartments have complete kitchens, but they do not have any utensils, pots, pans, soap, dish towels, or silverware. You would need to bring everything you might need with you. There is no grocery store within walking distance. There are also no restaurants within walking distances.
