Graduate Music Programs

The School of Music offers rolling admissions for the graduate program and will continue to accept applications throughout the year. However, the deadline for graduate assistantship consideration is April 1st.

We encourage you to learn more about the School of Music programs by visiting our campus and meeting with a faculty member prior to applying for admission.

  • $50 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all schools where a bachelor's or master's was or will be conferred. *In some cases transcripts from other institutions attended may be required.
  • Two letters of recommendation

Due to COVID-19 we are not offering in person auditions until further notice. All applicants for fall 2021 must submit a video audition and sign up for a virtual interview. If you have any questions about the process contact the Director of Music Admissions at 909.748.8014.

Video auditions and composition scores must be submitted via the Music Application Portal.

  • Uploaded videos should include an introduction, and answer the question, "Why do you want to attend the University of Redlands?"

  • Before beginning your performance, please speak the title of your piece and the name of the composer.
