Graduate Music Programs

The School of Music offers rolling admissions for the graduate program and will continue to accept applications throughout the year. However, the deadline for graduate assistantship consideration is April 1st.

We encourage you to learn more about the School of Music programs by visiting our campus and meeting with a faculty member prior to applying for admission.

  • $50 application fee
  • Official transcripts from all schools attended after high school
  • Two letters of recommendation

Music entrance and assistantship audition dates are scheduled for January and February each year. Specific dates can be found on the audition requirements document and in the application. To request an alternate audition date contact the Director of Music Admissions, Brad Andrews, at 909.748.8014.

Students who live less than 200 miles from campus are encouraged to perform a live audition.

Anyone who can not audition in person may submit a  video audition. Video auditions must be submitted via the Music Application.

  • Uploaded videos should include an introduction, a brief discussion of your performing experience, and answer the question, "Why do you want to attend the University of Redlands?"

  • Before beginning your performance, please speak the title of your piece and the name of the composer.
