Erika Scheidel Ramos is an accomplished pianist and teacher. As a faculty member of Ramos Piano Studios, her focus areas include Classical Piano, Jazz/Contemporary Piano Styles, Collaborative Piano, Improvisation, Composition and Pedagogy. She completed her Master of Music degree in piano performance at the University of Redlands in 1995, where she also received her Bachelor of Music in piano performance and graduated magna cum laude. She had additional training in Salzburg, Austria and at the Aspen Summer Music Festival, where she studied with the distinguished Gabriel Chodos. As a student, Erika received several honors including a National Merit Finalist scholarship, the Bo Ying Wat scholarship, and a graduate teaching assistantship in music theory. As a performer, she was twice featured on the prestigious University of Redlands President's Honor Recital. She has also worked extensively as a soloist and ensemble pianist, including working as an accompanist/coach at the University of Redlands.

Ramos currently serves as the Ensemble Director of the University of Redlands Summer Piano Camp. She is actively involved in the Redlands Branch of the Music Teachers Association of California and is currently Corresponding Secretary. She was also formerly the State MTAC Chair of Scrapbooks and Awards. Mrs. Ramos is Treasurer of the Riverside-San Bernardino Counties Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota, the professional music fraternity for women; recording secretary of the Riverside-San Bernardino Counties Chapter of CAPMT (MTNA); a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, the music honor society; and a member of the local music organization, Spinet.
