Students are encouraged to support themselves through part-time work, although no more than 15–20 hours a week is recommended during the semester, while the focus is on studies. For those who are married, spouses are expected to contribute financial support to the cost of attending seminary as well. At times SFTS may employ students in positions that otherwise would be filled as staff positions. Per-hour rates will be set on a case-by-case basis.
