Fran Grace, PhD, Professor of Religious Studies and Steward of the Meditation Room at the University of Redlands leads Paradigms of Healing and Wholeness, an upcoming seminar at The University of Redlands that begins on May 7, 2019. Those who see the need to alleviate suffering and bring healing and wholeness to their workplace or community will want to join us for this seminar. We had a chance to connect by phone, as she sat by a fire in her home in Southern California. Our light-hearted conversation covered a number of serious subjects related to the fire of inner transformation. She talked extensively about the need to address suffering, and how that is accomplished through attention to our authentic selves.
Conroy Reynolds, a senior clinical professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at the University of Redlands, holds a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University, where he worked as a clinical therapist and chaplain. And, that was after serving 30 years as a pastor!
He takes us to the intersection of spirituality and mental health, and gives us a glimpse into his practice of spiritual assessment, diagnosis and intervention.
Through his work he developed tools to help people overcome their spiritual pain, a pain often formed in relationship with the divine as well as those around them. These tools foster spiritual growth, and help people free themselves for creativity and right relationship with others.
