Physical Education

A minor in physical education, along with numerous physical activity and fitness opportunities designed to promote a healthy and active lifestyle are offered. The P.E. minor has required courses pertaining to the history, sociology, and scientific concepts of sport and physical education, combined with six additional units from the curriculum.

Internships with department members also help prepare students for graduate studies and careers in athletic training, strength and conditioning, and coaching. Low impact aerobics, yoga, personalized fitness, dynamic fitness, swimming, tennis, karate and rock climbing are just a few of the activities program courses promoting physical fitness and whole body wellness offered by the department.

The department sponsors a highly competitive intercollegiate athletics program that competes in 21 sports at the NCAA Division III level. Bulldog Athletics is a member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).
