Climate Art Talk and Lunch

Join us for pizza lunch and soda and learn from Munro Galloway, Professor of Art at the University of Redlands, about the many ways in which artists are using their work to communicate environmental challenges and cope with eco-anxiety. 

Cooking Class

Tea Making

Join Bloom Club and Climate Teach-In as they collaborate with Dr. Rebecca Lyons to learn the skill of tea making! This will be a hands-on event in which participants will smell different herbs to decide what to add to their personal tea blend. Those who attend will be provided with herbs, a jar, a strainer, and honey. However, participants should bring their own mugs!    

Native American Heart Sitting

Join Dr. Larry Gross for a hands-on experience with Native American Meditation! Learn about Ojibwe culture, meditation practices, and how to make heart-to-heart connections. All materials to make friendship bracelets and crochet supplies will be provided. 

Talks: Climate Change and Just Solutions

Join us at 5:00pm to listen to members of the Inland Empire environmental community and the University of Redlands Faculty speak about the science of climate change, the inequitable distribution of impacts, and solutions from policy, business, and social-wellbeing perspectives. Social Hour

Thanks to our generous University of Redlands donors, we're able to host a social hour featuring low-carbon food and non-alcoholic beverages to give our attendees an opportunity to talk about and reflect on the challenges ahead. Space is limited, but may be expanded with additional funding and donations.

Social Justice Conference

Join the Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies Program for the 2nd annual Social Justice Conference. Listen to various panelists and keynote speakers, who will discuss topics such as war, intersectional social justice, gender, and more. Coffee and pastries from Slow Bloom will be provided in the morning and lunch from Naan cafe in the afternoon.
