Associate Dean of Student Engagement

  • Analyzing and implementing strategies for addressing CAS undergraduate student retention/engagement issues (in Collaboration with Student Affairs and Admissions). 
  • Supporting advising programs and practices that facilitate effective relationships between CAS undergraduate students and faculty, including implementation of the Redlands Promise. 
  • Managing the academic disqualification process and communicating with CAS students, faculty, and staff with questions about this process.
  • Identifying and assisting CAS student experiencing significant academic challenges or concerns (in collaboration with Academic Success and Disability Services and Student Affairs personnel). 
  • Facilitating the transition of transfer undergraduate student to CAS’s academic culture (in collaboration with Admission, the Registrar’s Office, and Student Affairs).
