The Center for Advanced Professional Education (a collaboration between the University of Redlands and The Practice Institute) is pleased to offer this conference for mental health professionals across multiple disciplines and countries in conjunction with the Aiglé Foundation.
Target audience: The target audience for this conference is licensed professionals in the mental health professions, including psychology, counseling, social work, and marriage and family therapy.
Instructional level: The activities will be at the intermediate or advanced level

Conference activities will be scheduled in the Nieuw Statendam’s conference rooms on the two full days that it is under sail. Conference programming will feature both invited presentations and those that were submitted and accepted after peer review.
There also will be an added opportunity, while we are in San Juan, for a several hour visit to meet psychology faculty at Carlos Albizu University to discuss mental health treatment issues in Puerto Rico.
Presentations will include both those that are invited and those that were accepted through a peer review process.
All invited speakers all are prominent psychologist who have published on the topics on which they are presenting and have held leadership positions in the American Psychological Association, the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration, and/or the Sociedad Interamericana de Psicología.

Other presentations will be by conference attendees whose proposals were accepted through a peer review process.

Several speakers have prepared short, one-minute videos in which they discuss the conference and what they will be presenting. Please refer to those videos by Dr. Linda Buchanan, Dr. Yaira Oquendo-Figueroa (in both English and Spanish) and Drs. Lauren Behrman and Jeffrey Zimmerman.

CE Credits: CE credits will be available for approved programming at the Conference and will be sponsored by The Practice Institute (TPI). TPI is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. TPI maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
The conference will offer 14 hours of programming. Credit will be awarded on a session-by-session basis, and on the basis of one-hour of presentation time for each credit.
Conflict of Interest Statement: The conference presenters/organizers have not disclosed any commercial support for their presentations. Nor have they disclosed potential conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity with which they select and present their material.
