Congratulations on your admission to the School of Business! We are proud to welcome you to the Bulldog family.  Our faculty and staff are looking forward to meeting and working with you. We care about your success and are here to assist you throughout your program.  You will also receive a welcome email when you start your first course from your Student Success advisor, who will assist you with all your academic advising needs.

There are several important items on your to-do list before your first day of class, so please take a moment to read through the important information on this page.

New Student Orientation

Prior to starting your program, you must complete the New Student Orientation online so you know what to expect and how to prepare for your educational journey ahead!

  1.  You will need a computer with internet access and may use speakers. Otherwise, we are pleased to offer closed captioning. All Orientation videos have the CC (closed captioning) icon in the player controls. Press "English CC" to enable closed captioning and "None" to disable.
  2. Then, please click New Student Orientation to start the Orientation.
  3. Begin the Orientation and click "Next" to navigate through each Section until you’ve completed all 10 Sections. Please don’t forget to complete and submit the Orientation Survey.

You will need your textbooks before the 1st day of class. Textbook information can be found in the syllabus.

The required course materials will be posted on our bookstore website 30 days prior to the start of each course (please bookmark this page for future use). There may be reading and/or other assignments required prior to the first night of class, therefore we recommend you purchase your textbooks as soon as they are posted on-line.

Online Bookstores

  • - Textbooks can be ordered online through the University of Redlands Bookstore. Books are available either for purchase or rental.

Registration and Student Planning

Effective September 1, 2017, all School of Business students are required to self-register for classes using Student Planning.

The Student Planning system is available for all students through the myRedlands portal. In Student Planning, you will have access to your student record system where you can check your course schedule, view unofficial transcripts, review your grades, request enrollment verification and so much more.

Students may plan courses at any time. It is recommended that you plan your courses and request approval in advance so that during your open registration time all you need to do is register.

Below are some resources to assist you with registration and navigating student planning:

Student Email & Moodle Accounts

To access your University of Redlands email and Moodle accounts, you will be assigned a login and password that will be emailed to your personal account about eight business days after your registration has been processed. If you register less than a week before your first course begins, you may experience a delay in receiving your login and password.

Your syllabus will be posted on Moodle TWO WEEKS before the start of each class. It is recommended that you begin to check your Moodle account as soon as you gain access (approximately three days after you register) so that you are aware of assignments and reading that need to be completed prior to the first night of class.

APA Style

APA style is the required format for writing papers. Please purchase an APA Style Guide prior to the first night of class. Copies can be purchased online or at the bookstore.
