Financing your MBA at the University of Redlands

Furthering your education past a bachelor’s degree can be scary, especially when it comes to budgeting, but there are a variety of financial aid options for those seeking to obtain an MBA at the University of Redlands.

Student Loans

Federal direct loans are offered for graduate students at the University of Redlands; if you’re seeking a loan to complete the MBA program, you are eligible for up to $20,500 of unsubsidized funding per year; the loan begins to accrue interest while you’re at school. Students who choose to accept a Federal Direct Loan must first complete two requirements at studentloans.gov:

  • Entrance counseling, which is designed to help the student better understand the terms and conditions of their loan before borrowing money from the federal government

  • A Federal Direct Loan Master Promissory Note (MPN, which is the document that makes the student responsible for repaying the loan

Military Benefits

The University of Redlands also offers many different types of financial aid for both active duty military and veterans, as well as their spouses and dependents. The university has been designated by the Veterans Administration as one of the qualified institutions where veterans or their eligible dependents may attend and receive benefits under a range of U.S. Codes.

Additionally, the University of Redlands honors active duty military and spouses with a $250 per-unit discounted tuition rate. The GI Bill also provides financial support for education and housing to individuals who qualify; the Yellow Ribbon Program can reduce higher education costs for veterans of the U.S. military with three years of active duty beginning after 9/11. The program features dollar-for-dollar matching between universities and the federal government in order to give veterans more education options, and the University of Redlands awards qualifying students up to $5,000 per year ($10,000 per year with VA match) to help offset tuition expenses that meet requirements for Title 38, which refer to veterans’ benefits.

Scholarships

University of Redlands’ School of Business offers a variety of scholarships for graduate students. The Management Innovation Scholarship encourages educational and career achievement for those who wish to earn the Master of Arts in Management degree; it is available to new students who are admitted to the program. Qualifying students receive a 10 percent deduction (approximately $3,000 value) off the cost of tuition.

The Bulldog Alumni Scholarship is awarded to students who are already part of the University of Redlands community and are seeking to continue their education at the School of Business.
