Bing Bai, Ph.D. is currently an assistant professor in the School of Business at the University of Redlands. Her research interests include strategic human resource management, international human resource management and knowledge transfer within multinational corporations.

Bing earned her doctoral degree from the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations at the University of Illinois. She is a member of the Academy of Management and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Mark Cvikota, M.P.A. has over 25 years of experience in the private and public sectors in all aspects of human resources management including recruitment, selection and on-boarding of staff, classification and compensation, training and development, benefits administration and labor/employee relations. His career includes service at General Dynamics, the County of Riverside and the City of Moreno Valley.

Mark is the author of Successful Hiring: A Practical Guide to Interviewing and Selecting Employees. He has taught a wide variety of courses in human resources at UC Riverside Extension and other institutions.

Mark holds a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in public administration from UC Riverside. He has also completed certifications in human resources, personnel management and risk management.

Mike Deblieux is a trainer, consultant and on-site coach who has worked with supervisors, managers and executives in a wide variety of organizations to help them understand and apply leadership concepts, practices and habits. He has been widely recognized for his contributions to workplace leadership. He has been awarded the HR excellence award from the Professionals in Human Resources Association, the distinguished instructor award by the University of California Irvine Extension and a blue ribbon speaker designation by the American Management Association.

Mike is the author of seven business books on performance reviews, corrective action, sexual harassment and legal issues for managers. He writes the HR Concepts column for PIHRAscope Magazine and publishes The Deblieux Report to share key team building ideas with workplace leaders.

Kurt Mueller, M.A. is currently the vice president of human resources and training for Vista Federal Credit Union, a part of the Walt Disney Company. Kurt's experience in human resources management includes leadership development, organizational climate and competency assessment, development and implementation of competency based pay systems, and staffing.

Kurt has served as a senior adjunct instructor for the University of Redlands, teaching courses in managerial assessment, organizational behavior and leadership since 1985. He is the recipient of the Alfred North Whitehead award for teaching excellence.

Kurt holds a bachelor's degree in public administration from California State University, Long Beach and a master's degree in counseling and adult career guidance from Loyola Marymount University.

Roxanne Roske, M.S., S.P.H.R. has 20 years of human resources experience including recruitment, training, employee relations and investigative work. Her career includes experience in the healthcare and entertainment industries. She currently serves at the University of South California's health science campus. Roxanne teaches human resources at Los Angeles Valley College and UCLA Extension . In addition, she serves as an expert witness in employee law litigation.

Roxanne holds a master's degree in healthcare administration from California State University, Los Angeles and holds senior professional in human resources certification. She has completed mediation training through the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is an active board member of the Professionals in Human Resources Association.

 

Ronald F. Smedley, M.S. is president of Synergistic Resource Associates, a full service human resources consultancy that works with for profit and nonprofit organizations. In addition to consulting, Ron teaches a wide variety of courses in human resources at Biola University and Claremont Graduate University.

Ron holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Biola College and a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology from California State University, Long Beach. In 1993 he was presented with an honorary degree in human resource management and the key to the city in Kiev, Ukraine as a result of consulting and training in the areas of team building and leadership.
