Professional Background Highlights

Kamala Gollakota is currently an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Redlands. Prior to joining the Redland's School of Business & Society, she was a faculty member at the University of South Dakota. She also worked as a Human Resources professional at Crompton Greaves Limited. She has published numerous articles that have appeared in books and journals such as Journal of Management Studies, IEEE Transactions in Engineering Management, Journal of Management History, Decision, and the Journal of the International Associations for Case Studies. Her recent research on Business Strategies for operating at the Base of the Pyramid will be published in the Thunderbird International Business Journal. She has co-authored a textbook Strategic Management that was published by Prentice-Hall (India). Her research interests have included organizational decline and turnaround, downsizing, and corporate governance. Her current research interest is on the role of business organizations as an agent for world good.
