This conference is co-sponsored by the Aiglé Foundation of Buenos Aires and the Center for Advanced Professional Education.  Mental health professionals across multiple disciplines and countries will have opportunities to:

    learn about innovations in integrative psychotherapy and in clinical supervision across the Americas

    network with a relatively small group of colleagues in a relaxed atmosphere

    present their own work (should they submit a proposal that is accepted)

 Conference Format and Procedures

Conference activities will be scheduled in the Nieuw Statendam’s conference rooms on two of the three full days that it is under sail.  Conference programming will feature keynote presentations as well as posters and presentations by attendees.  It also will feature roundtable discussions to the exchanges of ideas among participants.

There will be parallel tracks in English and in Spanish.  As well, some programs will that address both English-speaking and Spanish-speaking of attendees together.

Registrants are, of course, free to participate in this conference without presenting.  But the conference will be enriched by presentations from attendees.

 How to Submit a Conference Proposal

Those wishing to submit a proposal focusing on processes or outcomes of psychotherapy or supervision should follow these steps:

Submit an abstract of 300 words that makes clear what you would present.  Also include a short bio for each presenter.  Submissions can be in either English or Spanish.

  1. Indicate whether they would prefer to offer this as a paper presentation, round table, poster, or skill building session.
  2. Submit to  cape@redlands.edu by February 1, 2019
  3. Proposals will be peer reviewed and those who submit will be notified of a decision by April 15, 2019.

Depending on the number and type of submissions, it may not be possible to accept every presentation.  

 


CE Credits.  Participants can earn up to 14 CE credits through The Practice Institute (TPI).  TPI is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists and maintains responsibility for all programs and content.
          Consistent with the CE requirements in many US states, it will be possible to have 6 hours certified as supervision focused.
