School of Business & Society Assessed Learning

The School of Business & Society at the University of Redlands will only accept Assessed Learning (AL) transfer credit from Regionally Accredited Institutions based on guidelines found in the catalog.  All other Assessed Learning (AL) accepted by the School of Business & Society are listed below.

Business Administration Associate Degree for Transfer (ADT)
Transfer credit is awarded for the successful completion of the Business Administration ADT.

College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) 
Transfer credit is awarded for the successful completion of CLEP examinations as outlined by ACE recommendations.

Transfer credit is awarded for successful completion of DSST examinations as outlined by ACE recommendations.

ACE - recommended credits
The University of Redlands awards credit for knowledge obtained through learning experiences such as military training, corporate training, and business-related certifications that have been reviewed and recommended for credit by ACE. All eligible ACE credit recommendations are considered for transfer and are applied as appropriate to the School of Business programs.

American Council on Education (ACE) 

NCCRS – recommended credits
The University of Redlands awards credit for knowledge obtained through learning experiences such as military training, corporate training, and business-related certifications that have been reviewed and recommended for credit by NCCRS. All eligible NCCRS credit recommendations are considered for transfer and are applied as appropriate to the School of Business programs.

National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS) 

In the case that both ACE and NCCRS have recommended credit for the same learning experience, the ACE recommendation will be used. Please note: American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) and other courses will be also reviewed.

Corporate Articulation Agreements for School of Business Students - Coming Soon
The University of Redlands has identified significant Corporate Partners to evaluate for potential assessed credit to potentially fulfill General Education or Elective credit for an Undergraduate degree. In order to receive any of the credits recommended, students should submit supporting documents to the Registrar’s Office. Credit will not be awarded for certifications or coursework that duplicates the content of credits earned through Assessed Learning, transfer credit, National Testing Program credit or University of Redlands. Clock hour to semester credit conversions are made based on current academic standards as outlined in the academic policy of the University.

IGETC and CSU-GE

Applicants who have been certified by their community college as completing the IGETC or CSU-GE may satisfy the School of Business & Society lower-division general education requirements providing that each course meets all of the criteria for transfer articulated in this policy.

Applicants who do not meet all of these criteria will receive a course-by-course transfer credit evaluation to determine credit that will fulfill their general education requirements, and may be required to complete additional general education coursework.
