Welcome to the University of Redlands!

It is a pleasure for us to extend a word of welcome to you on behalf of everyone at the University. You have chosen to join a community dedicated to supporting you as you realize your potential, pursue your passions, and make memories.

As part of the newest members of Bulldog Nation, please access your Applicant Status Portal (where you checked your admissions status) for information about this summer, as well as instructions on how to access the New Student Checklist. The Checklist will serve as a guide through the various steps you will need to take leading up to the start of the fall semester. In addition, you should have received (with your Welcome letter) your login information from the Office of Information Technology, which provides specific login information to access the University’s portal called MyRedlands. Please note that this login information is different than the one you used to check your application status throughout the admissions process.

Please check your email regularly, as a variety of campus partners will be reaching out to provide helpful, relevant, and sometimes time-sensitive information. We expect you to take the time to read all the information provided and to not be shy about following up to ask questions, seek clarification, or to say hello. For example, your faculty advisor, who is also your First Year Seminar (FYS) professor, and your FYS peer advisor, will reach out to you to introduce themselves; consider responding by introducing yourself to them too!

New Student Orientation, required for all new students, is where you will begin to settle into your new community, connect with classmates, faculty and student leaders, meet with your academic advisor, and register for classes.

We strive every day to make the University of Redlands a great place to live and learn. This means doing all that we can to put you, the student, first. What we hope we receive in return is your uncompromising commitment to learning, not just within the geographical confines of a classroom, but across the varied landscape of the student experience that is unique to the University of Redlands. What club will you join? What theatre production will you attend? What alternative point of view will you consider and debate? What community will you serve? Whose life will you impact, besides your own, in profound and enriching ways?

We are glad you are becoming a “Bulldog for Life” and we welcome you to the University of Redlands.

Och Tamale!
