Move-in by Appointment |
All residential students move in based on move in times facilitated by Residence Life and Housing. Students who have completed the New Student Checklist are contacted at the beginning of August with instructions for reserving an appointment time between 8 am-2 pm. |

Check-in & NSO Welcome is Mandatory (M) but these session are not by appointment; you choose one of the session to attend, whichever fits best around your move-in appointment time. |
Campus Tours

Join the Orientation Leaders as they lead campus tours that highlight important resources and spaces around campus. Tours will begin at the top of every hour. |

Res Hall Welcome (M)
|
Residential students gather in Founders Hall lobby to meet their Residence Life and Housing staff and to learn more about their new community. |
Johnston Welcome (M)
|
Johnston students will meet with their Orientation Leader and participate in various welcome activities. |
Commuter Life 101 (M for non-residential students)
|
All commuter students will attend this session to learn about resources, on-campus commuter spaces, and meet other commuter students. |
OL Group Meeting (M)
|
New students will meet with their Orientation Leader (OL) and peers in their orientation group. |
Welcome Dinner (M)
|
We welcome our incoming Bulldogs to the University! Come meet other new Bulldogs and University administrators at this casual dinner. This dinner is open to all who registered for NSO as well as their registered guests. |
President's Welcome Convocation (M) |
This is President Newkirk’s welcome and serves as the official induction of incoming students. Everyone is invited; students will be seated first – families are invited to cheer for the students as they enter the Chapel.

Playfair *Optional

Playfair is a high-spirited, high-energy event that allows new students to engage and laugh with one another as a large group, as well as in many quick-changing breakout groups.
