Makenna Overton is a third-year clinical psychology doctoral student at Azusa Pacific University. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, relationship and family dynamics, LGBTQIA+ topics, and religious and spiritual issues. She uses an integrative approach to therapy through drawing from humanistic, relational psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, feminist, and social justice models. Additionally, Makenna believes in the importance of forming a strong therapeutic relationship, collaborating with her clients, and creating a safe space for her clients to feel seen and accepted.
