I recently moved to California from the East Coast. I grew up in Massachusetts (Go Red Sox) and recently spent two years in Virginia, at James Madison University, where I received my M.ED in College Student Personnel Administration. I love to travel, do CrossFit, and spend time outside! I am super excited to be a part of the Redlands Community and to start the new year!

I graduated from the Johnston Center for Integrative Studies in 2016 with an emphasis in Cultural Studies: Gender, History, and Media. I'm originally from Vermont and I also lived in Chicago for a few years in between high school and college. I am currently the Resident Director for Johnston Complex (Holt and Bekins halls). I'm interested in helping students think of creative ways to connect their classes to the rest of their lives and encouraging them to think critically about their surroundings.

In 2012 I earned my BA in Computer Science from Drew University.  After spending four years in New Jersey, I returned to my home state of California and began working in higher education at Mt. San Jacinto College as an Academic Advisor for the Trio Upward Bound Program.  In 2015 I earned my MA in Higher Education at the University of Redlands. I am currently the Resident Director of East Hall with a collateral assignment as the Coordinator of Greek Life.  One of my key interests is leadership development and helping students to get involved on campus.

Hello! My name is Thu Nguyen. I am the Resident Director for East and Williams. I earned my B.A in 2016 at Cal Poly Pomona in Psychology, minor in Criminal Justice. With a passion in working with college students, I decided to pursue my M.A in Higher Education at the University of Redlands. I think there is something really special about college – processing new information, learning, and making new friends. I am ecstatic to be a part of the Bulldog family.
