The best way to understand our policies is to read them and ask questions.
The University of Redlands is a residential campus, and as such, all students are required to live on campus, have a meal plan and abide by University policies. For exceptions to the on-campus requirement, please visit Off Campus Petition Process.
Residence Life and Housing policies abide by federal, state, and local laws, as well as all University policies and codes of Community Standards. All policies are developed to create a safe, healthy living and learning environment for all students.
All students are responsible for University policies whether they are on or off campus, during the semester or outside of it. Upon entering a residence hall on campus, any individual, including a non-student, is also responsible for policies that are specific to our residential communities. This includes all faculty, staff, administrators, and outside guests.
In addition, every student who lives in our community agrees with, is responsible for knowing, and will abiding by our Room and Board Contract.
