Trip Description:

Travel deep into the heart of California's famous Sierra Nevada mountain range, the high country revered by naturalist, conservationist, and author John Muir.  You'll set up base camp at 9,000 ft. above sea level and prepare for a two day, one night backpack in the mountains, surrounded by rugged peaks and alpine lakes.  After your backpack you will meet Rebecca and David (our AMGA climbing guides), who will introduce you to the sport of Rock Climbing and spend the day helping you push yourself on the alpine granite.  Throughout this trip students will practice Leave No Trace principles.

No prior backpacking or rock climbing experience is necessary for this trip.  This trip does include hiking with moderate elevation gain and is recommended for students who are interested in challenging themselves physically.

Trip Cost:  $450.00
