Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of maps and spatial technology on this academic journey.  Fields as diverse as business, environmental science, and history all use mapping to answer questions such as: Where does pollution go? Where should the next Starbucks be located?  You’ll start by learning the basics of GIS technology and then branch out to explore the local region, including the Oak Glen Preserve and the Palm Springs Aerial Tram where your bird’s eye view will introduce how we analyze satellite images.

This is a great way to get started on college academics through an interdisciplinary, spatial studies approach to a variety of fields.  No prior knowledge of GIS required.
