Orientation Activities
Move-in Day for residential students
New students who are not scheduled to arrive early as part of an early arrival group will move into their home-away-from-home on Thursday, August 29, 2024. As the date nears, multiple email notifications with move-in day instructions will be provided, including information on selecting a move-in appointment time.
NOTE: When you arrive at check-in on August 29th, if you have not completed all items on the New Student Checklist, your room keys cannot be issued to you.So it is important to be sure you have completed all tasks on the checklist before you arrive on campus. If you are scheduled to arrive early, for example student athletes and FYJ participants, the same is true, so be sure you have the checklist completed before your date of arrival.
Orientation Check-in for All New Students
All new students, including commuter and transfer students, will check in for orientation from 8:00am-11:00am on August 29th at the University Hall. If you are a commuter or transfer student and have not completed all items on the New Student Checklist, your check-in will be delayed and your ID will not be activated until all tasks are complete.
New Student Convocation
New Student Convocation, the University’s formal welcome to the class of 2028, as well as their family members and supporters will occur the evening of August 29th. A dinner on the Quad for all attendees will follow.
We anticipate posting a full schedule of events for New Student Orientation by no later than May 31, 2024.
