Dr. Brigette L. Worthen is a pre-licensed Staff Psychologist who joined the University of Redlands Counseling Center in 2016. She has experience working with a variety of individuals in diverse clinical settings including university counseling centers, skilled nursing facilities and community mental health. Brigette’s clinical interests are in identity development in older adolescents and young adults, interpersonal relationships, family of origin issues, spirituality, grief and loss, and trauma. In addition to individual counseling, Brigette also enjoys facilitating therapy groups and has experience with facilitating groups for social anxiety, grief and loss, resilience and interpersonal skills. Brigette enjoys working with clients from a psychodynamic approach; focusing on how significant relationships and experiences affect daily life, but considers herself eclectic in her approach to therapy, believing that treatment should be tailored to the client’s individual needs. Brigette also serves as an adjunct professor for the School of Education at University of Redlands.
