Move-in by Appointment (M)

Orton Center

Residence Life and Housing will work with students to make an appointment for move-in. Appointments will be made for students before their arrival. If your student has not received a move-in appointment, please report to the Information Booth located in the Hunsaker Center.

 

*Enjoy lunch on your own in downtown Redlands or on campus at the Table at Irvine Commons. If you will be eating off campus, we encourage reservations ahead of time. View the “Local Dining” section on the R App for some favorite local eateries.

Our campus food service provider, Harvest Table, extends its welcome to all Bulldogs and their families with dinner on them! Come meet other Bulldog families, President Newkirk, and other University administrators at this casual dinner. All students, families, and guests are invited. No formal schedule.

This is President Newkirk’s inaugural welcome back student event and serves as the official induction of the Class of 2024. Everyone is invited, students will be seated first – families are invited to cheer for the students as they enter the Chapel. University of Redlands' President Krista Newkirk will give her first Bulldog welcome to this class as the featured speaker. *Note: this program will be shown via Live Stream in the Casa Loma Room for families and on the University of Redlands YouTube channel to watch from anywhere!

Playfair is a high-spirited, high-energy event that allows new students to engage and laugh with one another as a large group, as well as in many quick-changing breakout groups. The program's focus is creating connections among your new campus community. It's team-building, it's comedy, and it's lots of fun! *Note: face covering are required at this event.

Foundations of Community: Engage in a discussion about what it means to be a part of the University of Redlands community and think critically about the values you brought here. Topics include community standards and how they are upheld, alcohol and drug use, and how we resolve conflicts within our community. All sessions will be hosted in Gregory Hall and specific locations and times will be assigned by orientation groups. *Mandatory for students under 23 years of age but fall athletes who attended an early session do not need to attend.

 

Bulldogs Consent - Equity & Title IX: Students will participate in an engaging conversation about our collective responsibilities under Title IX, how we define and gain consent, and how we engage and support healthy relationships in our community. Sessions will be hosted in Casa Loma Room, assigned by Orientation Leaders. *Mandatory for all first-year, sophomore, and transfer students, fall athletes who attended an early session do not need to attend.
