Trisha Thomas

Trisha R. Thomas is an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literary Work finalist for her debut novel, Nappily Ever After published by Random House, she went on to win an Essence Literary Award, a Literary Lion Award and was voted Best New Writer by the Black Writer’s Alliance. Her debut novel has since been adapted as a Netflix Original Film starring Sanaa Lathan and directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour. Featured in O, The Oprah Magazine’s Books That Matter, she writes novels that delve into the self-esteem of young women of color and the insurmountable expectations that begin at a young age.
