Lavender Recognition Ceremony

The University’s annual Lavender Recognition Ceremony is held to honor the experiences and accomplishments of undergraduate and graduate students who identify as LGBTQ+.  It is an opportunity to acknowledge both the adverse and the supportive pathways to success, and to commemorate the significance and the splendor that defines graduation.

This year, the ceremony will take place on Thursday, April 25 at 3:00PM in Casa Loma Room on the Redlands campus, with check in beginning at 2:30PM.

For those who RSVP’d, a stole has been ordered on your behalf, a gift from the university, which will be given to you at the start of the event. During the ceremony, each recipient will be called to the stage with their invited mentor/friend/family member who will drape the stole and then, if they would like, share some brief (2-3 minutes) remarks.

Attire is relaxed casual, and light refreshments will be served.

We look forward to celebrating the success of members of the class of 2019 on April 25th.
