Lavender Recognition Ceremony

The Annual Lavender Recognition Ceremony is one of the official events as part of the University's Commencement exercises. This ceremony is held to honor the experiences of graduating students who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Queer and students that have been recognized as strong allies for this community at the University. It is an opportunity to bring the community together to commemorate this joyous event.

All graduates (undergraduate and graduate students) have the opportunity to select a speaker (family member, friend, faculty, etc ) who will present them with a specially made stole. It is an intimate ceremony with family and friends in attendance.

The 2018 Lavender Recognition Ceremony will take place on Thursday April 19 at 3:00 PM in Casa Loma Room. For more information please contact Leela Madhavarau at (909)748-8285 or
