Writing Tutor
The Academic Success Center is looking for dedicated students to become Writing Tutors in order to help their peers become better writers, no matter what major they are studying.  Tutors work a set schedule of 6-10 hours each week and attend regular staff meetings.  If you are interested in becoming a Writing Tutor and would like to take advantage of this opportunity, we would like you to apply for the position.  To be considered, all tutors should have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA or equivalent evaluations, and all hired tutors will be required to take a 4-unit training course (ENGL 308) during the Fall 2019 semester.

Please begin this process by printing and completing the application below. Give page 2 to a faculty member who can speak to your abilities as a writer.  Please return page 1 of your application, with all supplementary materials, to the Student Development Center (ground floor of Armacost Library).  Faculty can send page 2 (Writing Tutor Recommendation) directly to us or return it to you for inclusion with your application packet.  All applications are due by 4pm on Friday, March 1st.
