Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe Higher Education Program

The Higher Education Program offers some financial aid assistance to enrolled members of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. Students must be undergraduate, graduate or enrolled in a vocational training program. In addition to funding, the Program provides assistance in the application process (admission, financial aid or scholarship), pre-college workshops, FAFSA assistance and financial aid counsel.

Deadline:

  • July 15 - Fall Semester
  • December 31 - Spring Semester

Amount: Up to $1,000
Requirements:

  • A full-time (minimum 12 credit hours) student
  • A member of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe
  • Attend an institution in the United States

Seneca Nation of Indians Scholarship Fund 

Cattaraugus Higher Education Program & Allegany Higher Education Program

The Seneca Nation established a scholarship program for enrolled members to provide financial assistance to matriculated college students at all levels. Scholarships are non-competitive and granted on financial need. 

Deadline: Depends on School Semester
Amount: Varies on Grade Level 
Requirements:

  • Completed FAFSA 
  • Transcripts/Grade Reports 
  • Other Financial Docs - See Application for list 
  • Be an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation

Theresa A. Mike Scholarship

This Scholarship honors Theresa Mike's presence among us as young woman and a new mother, and honors her commitment to developing a sense of cultrual richness, history and future for the people of her tribe.

Deadline: Sept. 15th 
Amount: $500 to $5,000
Requirements:

  • Full-time post-secondary or graduate student
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 
  • Meets one of the following 3 criteria: 
    • Is an employee or dependent of an employee of any entity of the 29 Palms Band of Mission Indians 
    • Is an enrolled member of a federally-recognized Native American Indian Tribe. (Must provide copy of Tribal Identification or letter from the Tribal Enrollment Office)
    • Is either a current resident of or graduated from a high school in either the Coachella Valley or the Morongo Basin
