Subject:  Security Advisory: Suspicious Person, Redlands Campus

We want to let the Redlands campus community know of a security concern regarding a person who is wanted by law enforcement and who has recently been seen trespassing on campus.

On Friday, February 16, Julio Nestor Flores followed groups of students into Grossmont Hall at about 5:30 p.m. and again at around 9:40 p.m.  Additionally, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Flores was reported as speaking to a student near Currier Gymnasium. 

On Sunday, February 18, 2018, at approximately 3:30 p.m., students reported seeing Flores riding his skateboard in the rear parking lot (west side) of Fairmont Hall. 

Public Safety has increased patrols throughout campus, especially around the west side residence halls.  We are monitoring our security cameras positioned in these areas and throughout campus.  Please contact Public Safety immediately at extension 8888, or 909-748-8888, if you see a person matching the following description – do not approach or engage this individual:

  • Hawaiian male, 24, average height and build
  • Long black hair
  • Extensive facial and neck tattoos

As Always:

  • Be aware of your surroundings and of the people and activity around you.
  • Walk with a buddy.
  • Call Public Safety at extension 8888, or 909-748-8888, if you see suspicious activity or people on or near campus, or need assistance in any way.
  • Always call 911 in an emergency, or Redlands Police Dispatch at 909-798-7681 if you see or suspect that a crime is taking place off campus
