Diversity in Action, a weeklong residency at the University of Redlands, is intended to introduce and engage various voices and perspectives across the University community, and beyond.
It serves as a tangible example of our commitment to providing a well-rounded, personalized, and hands-on education that focuses on scholarship through engagement.
Diversity in Action is lived and experienced by, and through those who are committed to social change, reform in response to inequity or conflict, and the strengthening of local communities, like our own. Whether an artist, educator, historian, community advocate, we all have a role to play, to include hearing, considering and respectfully challenging diverse perspectives.
This weeklong residency allows for the introduction of ideas, perspectives and experiences that will challenge some, and inspire others, and is the result of extending an invitation to a nominated, and selected representative of diversity in action.
