Students will discover how nature inspires architecture and design. Through observation, sketching, digital play, and model-making, participants will transform natural patterns and forms into creative architectural concepts, finishing with a public exhibition of their work.
This course develops various drawing skills used in two- and three-dimensional methods and mediums of representation. Methods of technique, composition, critical evaluation, and presentation are studied through representational assignments. Emphasis is placed on the orthographic projection of drawing techniques, such as plans and elevations. Students learn these methods of representation using both digital and analog drawing skills and media.
