Your journey will begin with three days of exploration in Prague where you will explore its stunning architecture, timeless art and enthusiastic beer culture. Then you will continue your journey to Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage City. After a visit you will head on to celebrate a mini Oktoberfest in Vilshofen, the embarkation point of your luxury boutique river cruise adventure. As you journey along the Danube with AMAWaterways, you will see firsthand why this storied river has inspired generations of artists, poets and musicians. Indulge your passion for timeless architecture and art in four magnificent capitals: Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna and Prague. Cruise through the enchanting Strudengau Valley and let the melodies of the Danube carry you from one gem to another on a regal journey through time. You can fully customize your experience as you choose from private Redlands only excursions, as well as dozens of other options. At the conclusion of the river cruise you will journey to Salzburg where you can reconnect with your student experiences or explore this incredible city of music and art for the first time. Your adventure will conclude with 4 days in Salzburg where you will explore stunning alpine scenery, enjoy time to wander the timeless streets of Salzburg and a toast to journeys past and to come. You will also can customize your pre or post cruise experience with a trip to the once in a decade Oberammergau Passion Play.
This river cruise experience has been carefully curated by and will be guided by Redlands alumnus and award-winning travel advisor, Danny Genung ’04 and ‘05.
