Homecoming at the University of Redlands is going virtual this year!

On Saturday, October 24, it will be easier than ever to reconnect with your alma mater and fellow Bulldog alumni from the comforts of your home. This year, it’s not Homecoming… it’s Homestaying!

Mini Course with Prof. Johannes Moenius: "How to adapt to an automated future - a brief guide for students, workers, and businesses"

The future of work has begun in March 2020 - catapulted 5 years ahead by work-from-home orders, social distancing rules, and the desire of companies to immunize their supply chains against future attacks of pandemics. How can employers and employees navigate these challenges? What can today's students do to prepare for tomorrow's automated workplace? This one hour workshop with School of Business Professor Johannes Moenius provides a tour de force through the dos and don’ts to manage what could become easily the largest challenge of our time.

Join Brenna Phillips '19 and Jacob Miner '20 for a Bulldog Cocktail 'how to'. Ingredient list will be provided ahead so you can follow along and have your cocktails ready for the Redlands Trivia hour with Dr. Larry Burgess '67 immediately following at 6pm Pacific.

2 oz tequila
2 oz fresh lime
½ oz orange liqueur (cointreau, triple sec)
¾ oz simple syrup or agave
Add-in of choice; Jalapeño, Blackberry, Peach, Mango, etc. Get creative!

1 – 1.5 oz vodka
½ oz triple sec
¼ cup orange juice
¼ oz simple syrup (Easy to make by combining 1 part sugar to 2 parts water and boil until sugar dissolves.)

Academic Success & Disability Services (ASDS) provides various resources for students to use and which can support their academic pursuits while in college. Information will be shared regarding tutoring, peer mentoring, academic success skills, and academic accommodations for students with learning, medical, and mental health needs.

Flavors from R House to Yours!

We are excited to introduce Chef Sevaly to you on Homecoming/Family Weekend. The first 50 registrants will receive the ingredients by mail (must register by Sunday October 18th in order to receive your recipe box in time). Chef Sevaly will feature one of his favorite recipes using some fresh food harvested from our Sustainable University of Redlands Farm (SURF) and other local favorites. What you’ll to participate: register, prep your kitchen and camera, purchase ingredients to complete the recipe (a list will be sent week of event). No experience or special cooking products needed!

Updates will include “SFTS: We Will Not Be Silent,” a diversity, equity, and inclusion statement that faculty have been working on.
