13 Day Tour of the Best of the British Isles
July 18 - July 31, 2020
From breathtaking scenery to vibrant cities and small towns, this fascinating tour delivers the best of Scotland, England’s Lake District, North Wales, and the Emerald Isle. We will begin and end in Glasgow with overnights in Inverness and Edinburgh, Scotland; Liverpool, England; Dublin, Killarney, Limerick, and Sligo, Ireland; and Belfast, Northern Ireland. Throughout the tour, we will learn about the history and culture each region as we visit some of the must-see attractions. For example, in Belfast we will visit the Titanic Experience to learn more about the ship and its ill-fated maiden voyage.
We will also experience stunning scenery on this Britain and Ireland tour. Travel through the incomparable landscapes of Snowdonia National Park in Wales, with picturesque villages, mountains, and lakes. Follow Ireland’s Ring of Kerry, a 100-mile panoramic drive with sparkling seascapes, brightly colored farmhouses, and the astounding panorama of the Lakes of Killarney. Visit the spectacular 668-foot Cliffs of Moher and awe-inspiring Giant’s Causeway composed of thousands of basalt columns formed millions of years ago.
But that’s not all… Your Redlands hosts have also included out-of-the-ordinary experiences just for you. You will visit the Irish National Stud in Kildare whose thoroughbreds command respect on the racecourses of the world. You will also taste the famous gingerbread crafted in Grasmere in England’s Lake District. Or how about a walk with a local guide on the old city walls in Derry, Northern Ireland?
