Description of Activity: We’ll provide, prepare and serve lunch while some will clean and sanitize around the facility. During food service time, some volunteers will provide a craft for elementary-aged children. Following lunch, we’ll clean up the kitchen (dishes, utensils, pots & pans used).

The purpose is to serve families who are spending days, weeks or longer with their child who is a patient at the hospital giving them a chance to relax and connect with other families staying there. This also helps to defray costs of the services that RMH provides free to families.

Please Bring: Volunteers do not need to bring anything. Need to wear comfortable clothes and non slip-on, closed-toes shoes. Those with long hair to wear in a ponytail, or where a hair net or ball cap (if handling food).  Board members will be bringing the necessary items: food, craft project items, etc.

Location: 2929 Children’s Way, San Diego. Park in the parking structure under the RMH.  Parking structure is free on the weekends. Car pooling is suggested, if possible.
