Program Overview
The Redlands men's water polo team competes against numerous top-20 opponents to excel as one of the best programs in NCAA Division III. In recent years, the Bulldogs have improved their national showing by moving up as high as second at the Western Water Polo Association Championships, earning wins over Division I teams like UC Davis, Loyola Marymount University and the Air Force Academy. Since 1999, the Bulldogs have rattled off six Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) titles, boasting a perfect conference record each of those years. Redlands men's water polo players have earned the SCIAC Player of the Year award for men's water polo in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2006. Garnering this honor in 1999, senior captain Taj Jensen was also one of five finalists for the prestigious Peter J. Cutino National Player of the Year award, which includes players from all NCAA divisions. With the outstanding Thompson Aquatic Center serving as their home facility, the Bulldogs offer a high-caliber men's water polo experience to dedicated student-athletes.
