Program Overview
Built on a tradition of old-fashioned hardworking fundamentals, the Bulldog baseball program continues its resurgence into a top challenger in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC). In 2005, Redlands moved from sixth place to second place among the highly-competitive conference with one of the best SCIAC records in school history. The team’s upward swing continued in 2006 as the Bulldogs captured the program’s tenth title with a 30-win season and a trip to the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1993. During the 2007 campaign, the baseball team posted school-record marks of 504 hits and 120 stolen bases. In addition, former SCIAC Player of the Year, Kyle Gardner ’07, earned one of Redlands’ three NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships during 2006-07. Known for playing a challenging schedule of NCAA and NAIA opponents, the Bulldogs hone their talent against some of the best teams in the nation. With undeniable team chemistry and a commitment to continued success, Redlands baseball creates pride and tradition within the program, benefiting the current players and future generations to come.
