Program Overview
A relatively new program to the University of Redlands, the women's lacrosse team moved to varsity status in 1999. After a few years of club experience, the Bulldogs proved they were worthy of attention. In 2000, the team finished 2nd in the South "B" Division of the Western Women's Lacrosse League (WWLL) and made its first ever appearance to the WWLL Final Four, finishing in second place. That season the women's lacrosse team posted records of 14-4 overall, 6-2 against NCAA competition, 5-0 vs. SCIAC opponents, and 8-2 in the WWLL. Redlands became a Division III independent program in 2001 and has competed only against varsity DIII opponents ever since. Despite a challenging season that year, the Bulldogs produced the program's first two All-Region players in goalkeeper Subha Prasad and attack player Morgan Garofalo. Overall, Redlands has gained 12 All-Region honorees since the 2001 season, including three on the First Team and two on the Second Team in 2006. That year the Bulldogs posted their best season record of 11-4.
