In fiscal year 2006-07, Information Technology Services (ITS) undertook a project to refresh all network switches for campus buildings and regional sites. The university now has a homogenous network architecture for the entire campus with the replacement of the network switches. The new equipment also offers an added level of redundancy minimizing the impact of failure by a single piece of equipment.
