Home to the soccer and women's lacrosse teams, Farquhar Field is the first in school history to be solely dedicated to these programs. In 1997, Don and Kay Farquhar contributed the funds that made the fields possible. The Farquhars both graduated from the University of Redlands and remain involved with the campus. Among other commitments, Don and Kay served as members of the National Steering Committee for the University's $100 million Centennial Campaign.
Farquhar Fields were constructed in 1997 and provide the Bulldogs with a well-needed facility for practice and competition. The pitch is a carpet-like surface that is 116 yards by 78 yards. In 2002, the field received a small but necessary improvement with the addition of public restrooms and a storage facility. In 2006, the installation of lights provided additional playing and practice opportunities, along with an exciting atmosphere for spectators.
Beyond the competitive field, the recreation field is available for practices, recreation, intramural and club sports. For reservations, please contact the Field House at 909-748-8023. |
