| Description: |
Reporting to Information Technology Services (ITS), services as the lead ITS person in the Student Life Division and is responsible for all technology related issues within the Division.
- Oversees and manages the Student Life Datatel module(s) and all responsibilities inherent to that role: exploring functionality, coordinating and constructing the documentation of Student Life Datatel module(s) operations, and authorizing access.
- Coordinates and helps Student Life to document the use of Datatel Colleague. Coordinates the completion of the computer Account Request forms for new employees in Student Life.
- Explores technical functions and/or capabilities of Datatel Colleague that are currently not being used, and coordinates implementation and use of the additional modules or functions with ITS and Student Life users.
- Troubleshoots problems encountered by Student Life users and work with ITS to resolve technical issues. Works with ITS in implementation and testing of new releases and patches of the Datatel Colleague.
- Updates the Student Life web pages in coordination with the University Web Team and acts as the site administrator.
- Incorporates Web and e-mail functions and capabilities into Student Life operations by making paper forms accessible via the internet, sending out high volumes of e-mail merges, and acting as a liaison to ITS to pursue technological advancement for large-scale projects.
- Oversees and manages the Student Life Datatel reporting needs and all responsibilities inherent to that role (e.g., super-user responsibilities, ensuring security and training). Oversees the Division’s Filemaker Pro databases, customizes report construction and data manipulation, and digitizes files either through scanning, PDF construction, or Filemaker incorporation.
- Maintains the ID card system, for students and employees. Prepares graphics design of forms and logos for Student Life use.
- Provides technical assistant for the Student Life online parent courses.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned or directed.

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Position requires Bachelor Degree, in Information Technology, or closely related academic discipline, one (1) to three (3) years of like experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful candidate will possesses strong computer skills with a variety of Windows-based programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, moderate to advanced knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, experience with the applications of administrative database systems in higher education such as Datatel (preferred), SCT Banner, or PeopleSoft, etc. Candidate must possess knowledge of statistical analysis program, as SPSS. SAS, etc. Internet research and Web update techniques required. Position requires a strong verbal and written communication skills, possess experience working with diverse constituencies and sensitivity to multi-cultural issues; ability to work productively in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and demonstrate experience with high quality client–oriented services.
