March 21, 2008 - Redlands, CA - The University of Redlands women’s golf team gained experience during the Concordia University Invitational on Thursday. Taking on NAIA opponents, Redlands finished with a team score of 385 for third place.
Leading the Bulldogs, sophomore Staci Walsh (shown in photo; Shoreline, WA) supplied a round of 85 to tie for 12th place. Sophomore Paige Van Arsdall (Lakewood, WA) recorded a score of 94 while freshman Amanda Aldridge (Woodinville, WA) posted a 101. Rounding out the Bulldogs, freshman Karly George (Mission Viejo, CA) came in at 105 while freshman Janae Alvarez (Thermal, CA) shot a 106.
The Bulldog women’s golf team looks forward to facing Division III competitor Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in its only home match of the season on March 31. The teams tee off at 12 noon at Yucaipa Valley Golf Course. |
