March 19, 2008 - Redlands, CA - With junior E.J. Stenftenagel (Indian Wells, CA) earning medalist honors, the University of Redlands men’s golf team won the Cal Lutheran University Kingsmen Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. With a combined score of 924, the Bulldogs finished five strokes ahead of second-place finish University of La Verne.
Stenftenagel posted a three-round total of 220 to win the tournament while sophomore standout Ross Canavan (Redlands, CA) came in fifth place overall with a mark of 228. Redlands also gained a top-10 finish from freshman Scott Pena (Encinitas, CA), who provided a score of 230. Rounding out the Bulldogs, freshman Alex Hedlund (Arlington, WA) posted a 248 while sophomore Ryan Williams (Scottsdale, WA) earned a score of 249.
The Bulldogs look forward to competing in the third Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) match of the season at Sierra Lakes Golf Course on March 24 at 12 noon. |
