| Description: |
Reporting to the Campus Director, the Assistant Campus Director for Academic Advising I is responsible for serving both graduate and undergraduate adult students. This position includes evening work hours on three to four evenings per week.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interacts regularly with adult students to assist them in moving successfully from enrollment to graduation.
- Works collaboratively with Executive/Success coaches to ensure student satisfaction and success.
- Develops and monitors the official Schedule of Instructions (SOI’s) and status report; coordinates these matters with the Campus Director as required.
- Works with students in all aspects of degree completion and success including registration, re-enrollment, withdrawal, course approval, petitions, independent study, concurrent enrollment, finalization of file, SOI revision, etc.
- Provides assistance as requested in maintaining the day-to-day operations of the campus facility, including, but not limited to: interviewing prospective students, participating in on-site and off-site recruitment events and education fairs, participates in Education fairs, Community College presentations, and other student recruitment activities as needed.
- Provides backup to the Campus Director, as needed.
- Provides input, on request, to Dean’s Office in matters relating to curriculum development and academic delivery.
- Performs other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years related work experience. Master’s degree and experience in customer support or student services management, academic advising, recruitment, counseling, professional coaching, career services, or sales training is preferred. Successful candidate will have familiarity with college transcripts, University practices, and catalogs; comfortable with academic structures and environment; ability to work with persons of wide range of skills, educational background and experiences; high level of independent judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills; computer literate; ability to master the University’s information system, and consume and manipulate data. A valid driver’s license is required. A current DMV printout demonstrating a good driving record must be presented after offer of employment. Must be able to interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of students, faculty and staff.
