Description:

Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the University Registrar provides vision, leadership, and management oversight for all major activities and the supervision of the staff within the Office of the Registrar.

  • Manages registration, course scheduling, degree certification, transfer credit evaluation and articulation, Academic Review Board petitioning, Commencement, and production of the University Catalog.
  • Manages the retention, retrieval, and control of all academic records for all University of Redlands students, past, present, and potential.
  • Ensures that the Office of the Registrar provides prompt, accurate service to students, alumni, faculty, administration, and external agencies.
  • Serves as a link between faculty governing units and the administration.
  • Maintains and monitors the student information administrative database modules for Student Records, Curriculum Management, Registration, and Faculty.
  • Produces research data and reports as requested.
  • Supervises the Office of School Records – School of Business. 
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned or directed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree plus three (3) to five (5) years related professional experience in progressively responsible positions in a Registrar’s Office. Successful candidate must have strong interpersonal skills; exceptional writing and speaking skills; strong ethical convictions; ability to understand complex rules and regulations, and ability to apply them in varying circumstances; experience with management of an office and evaluation of employees; knowledge of transfer credit requirements; accounting experience; ability to manage complex administrative databases; and the ability to competently interact with a culturally and ethnically diverse population of students, faculty, and staff.
